Lead Generation, Visual Design and Premium Growth Tips on ‘Ask Us Anything About LinkedIn’ S4 E09

Another “Ask Us Anything About LinkedIn” just wrapped up – and this time, it came with a creative spark (quite literally, as Didi dreamed about it the night before!). In this episode, Didi, Dari, and Eli took us through the latest updates around lead generation campaigns, design trends for interactive content, and how LinkedIn Premium is shaping engagement and follower growth. From actionable tips to creative insights, this session offered valuable advice for anyone looking to get the most out of their LinkedIn experience.

Mastering Lead Generation Campaigns

Lead generation continues to be a hot topic on LinkedIn, and for good reason. Dari highlighted some of the latest tools and strategies for setting up successful lead gen campaigns. The team discussed how businesses can leverage LinkedIn’s targeted advertising options, particularly by using Sponsored Content and Lead Gen Forms.

Dari stressed the importance of crafting a compelling call-to-action (CTA) in these campaigns, and emphasized that visuals play a key role in grabbing attention. Eli agreed with her that understanding the audience’s pain points and creating personalized offers are crucial to success in lead generation.

What really stood out in this session was the introduction of a new feature inside LinkedIn Campaign Manager – Qualified Leads Optimization.

Dari demonstrated how this new setting allows marketers to optimize their campaigns based on actual qualified leads rather than generic conversions. Users can connect their CRM (like HubSpot or Salesforce) or upload offline data to train LinkedIn’s algorithm to better target similar high-intent prospects.

One key recommendation from LinkedIn: feed the system with at least two qualified leads every 1-2 weeks to keep performance high.

The update shows promising early results – with some users seeing up to 40% lower cost per qualified lead.

Interactive Content: The Future of Visual Design

Design trends are always evolving, and interactive content is becoming a major trend on LinkedIn. Eli shared insights into how incorporating interactive elements like polls, short-form videos, and even GIFs can significantly boost engagement.

GIFs are being used creatively – particularly in galleries, where one moving image can stand out among static visuals. Eli explained that movement doesn’t need to be flashy or fast – subtle animations can catch the eye without being intrusive.

One practical tip that stood out: always test your design on mobile devices first, since the majority of users access LinkedIn via mobile. A great desktop design might fail if it doesn’t display correctly on smaller screens.

LinkedIn Premium: Boosting Engagement and Follower Growth

LinkedIn Premium and its role in boosting engagement and follower growth was also discussed. Didi explained how Premium Company Pages give admins new tools to grow their community – including a custom CTA button that appears next to the page’s name in the feed, and the ability to add testimonials at the top of the company profile.

She also mentioned a useful feature – the option to auto-invite people who have engaged with your posts but don’t follow your page yet. This helps save time and ensures warm leads are not missed.

Important note: the free trial can only be activated once, so make sure to complete the process in one go – otherwise you may lose the opportunity. Didi recommended setting a reminder before the trial expires and using LinkedIn’s analytics to see whether features like auto-invite and premium insights are driving real growth.

Companies that actively invest in their content and growth, Premium is worth testing. Reviewing analytics to see what percentage of new followers come via premium features is also essential.

What’s Coming Next?

Looking ahead, the team speculated about what’s next for LinkedIn. Dari predicted that AI will play a larger role in LinkedIn’s analytics, helping users gain more actionable insights and make better data-driven decisions.

Didi suggested that we might see more advanced features for Premium company pages, allowing businesses to engage more strategically with their followers.

The team also discussed the continued rise of interactive elements – including GIFs, polls, and gallery-based visuals -which are likely to become an even more prominent part of LinkedIn’s creative landscape.

The episode wrapped up with a clear message: success on LinkedIn comes from understanding your audience, being creative with your content, and using the right tools. Whether you’re focusing on lead generation, exploring new design trends, or taking full advantage of LinkedIn Premium features, the key is to be strategic and stay engaged with your network.
