The Best Balkan Wines Triumphed in Sofia in Front of Thousands of Visitors
The ninth edition of The Balkans International Wine Competition and Festival (BIWCF) brought back the festive spirit in Sofia and became an occasion to talk about the unity and support that we need now more than ever. Between September 17th and 19th more than 500 exclusive wines from the Balkan region were in the spotlight, artistically arranged in the festival’s traditional white tents in front of the National Palace of Culture.
Thousands of Sofia residents and guests toured the wine town and tasted the exhibited wines, and the culmination for the visitors was the Golden Tent with limited special samples from the awarded wineries.
The Balkan Wine Oscars, held in the open air for the first time, were truly glamorous, giving all wine lovers the opportunity to watch the exciting award ceremony of the Belgrade competition winners.
Thanks to all the partners and friends of the wine, who supported the prestigious forum, BIWCF once again passed successfully and the plans for the next edition of the Competition – this time in North Macedonia – are already underway!
